St. Thomas the Apostle Orthodox Church is a parish of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, lead by Metropolitan Nicholas of Amissos in Johnstown, PA, under the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew of Constantinople. We are a pan-Orthodox worshipping community meeting in Southern Maryland, about 28 miles south of Washington, DC. All services are in English, our music is primarily congregational Ruthenian plain chant along with Russian, Greek/Byzantine and Arabic melodic traditions. Our church is located on Route 5 just south of Waldorf. Our property is a red brick ranch style house, on the right just past the high power lines as you head south. Look for the large Orthodox three bar cross and brick sign in the front yard. Our Priest is the Reverend Father Joseph Edgington.[ Last Updated: 10-Apr-2009 | Reader Comments Report Problem
