The Arts Council of Calvert County is one of 24 county arts councils in the state of Maryland. Each of the arts councils is the entity by which the state provides funding to the counties for the arts. The Arts Council of Calvert County is also fortunate to receive funding from the Calvert County government. This funding, in addition to membership fees, allows us to offer grants to arts organizations, as well as nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations and schools offering arts programming. The Arts Council grants $20,000 - $25,000 each year, based on criteria established by the state.[ Last Updated: 26-Jul-2006 | Hits: 556 | Reader Comments Report Problem
