Bay Community Support Services, Spring Dell Center and the Arc of Southern Maryland have banned together through a grant provided by the United Way of Charles County to provide Free Wellness and Nutrition Seminars to the general public. Seminars will be taught by the owner of Muse Wellness Company, Licensed Nutritionist and Board Certified Nutrition Specialist Tasha Manigo—Bizzell. Subjects covered will include common health myths, food swaps, weight loss success, as well as how to pick the right eating plan.
The educational seminars will address nutritional needs of the Charles County Community by targeting specific health diagnosis that are experienced by many and require specific nutritional parameters. Understanding dietary needs in addition to knowing what foods to purchase and how to substitute or prepare them can only be accomplished through the guidance of a licensed nutritionist. These educational components address topics needed for community members to make healthy lifestyle choices.
