Melissa Ballard of Chesapeake Beach, Md and Douglas Charnock of Waldorf, Md were married on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in The Hollywood Volunteer Fire Dept. Hall, in Hollywood, Md. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Phyllis Ballard. The groom is the son of Dennis and Dolores Charnock.

Melissa is an Employment Specialist for The Center for Life Enrichment in Hollywood, Md and is pursuing a degree in Paralegal Studies. Douglas is a Career Firefighter and EMT for Prince Georges County in Maryland. He also volunteers his time at HVFD. They purchased a home together in June and will reside at their residence in Lusby, Md.
