Sherry Rochester of Lexington Park, MD and Charles Welch of Lexington Park, MD were married on Thursday, September 08, 2005 in the St. Marys County Courthouse, Leonardtown, MD. The bride is the daughter of Lewis & Gail Rochester, Jr. The groom is the son of Phyllis & Dwayne Welch.

The Groom is a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT for Bay District Volunteer Department Company 3 & 9. The Bride is the youngest sister of OraMae R. Marshall and Michelle R. Tefft. She is an Associate with Bay District Volunteer Fire Department Company 3 & 9.

They were married outside the Courthouse at 10:15 a.m. The Groom left the next day with 3 other Volunteer Firemen to go to Louisianna to help in the clean up effort of the Hurricane Katrina Disaster. The wedding story was covered by the Enterprise and aired on the front page of the September 9th edition. Many happy wishes and a long life to them both!
