Allen Cabbol Woods, 72, of Chesapeake Beach passed away August 30, 2014 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick. He was born November 27, 1941 in Sugar Grove, VA to Walter D. and Lucy L. (Robinson) Woods.

Allen moved with his family to North Beach, and then later to Upper Marlboro and graduated from Frederick Sasscer High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1960, serving in Germany and was discharged in 1963.

He married Brenda Kay Meachum on December 22, 1960, they lived in Prince Frederick until Allen retired and they moved to Chesapeake Beach.

He was employed as a salesman with Continental Baking Company for 28 years. Allen was a member of the Stallings-Williams American Legion Post 206 in Chesapeake Beach and the Upper Marlboro Moose Lodge. He enjoyed golfing with his brother and spending time with his family and loved his dog Jake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Floyd "Sonny" Woods and a sister Retha Carol Sansbury.

Allen is survived by his wife Brenda Kay Woods, a son Anthony Allen "Tony" Woods. of Bradenton, FL, and a daughter Alisa Cae Lambert of Huntingtown. Also surviving are grandchildren Anthony A. Woods, Jr. and wife Katie of Lakeland, FL, Megan E. Castellow and husband Joel of Apollo Beach, FL, Eric A. Smallenbroek and girlfriend Miranda of Chesapeake Beach, and Clayton D. and Colton T. Lambert, both of Huntingtown, a sister Mary Cristella Cornett of Sugar Grove, VA, a brother David Carlos Woods of Dunkirk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
