Gary Lee Hammett, 64, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away July 23, 2014 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Born March 12, 1950 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Dennis Hilton Hammett, Sr. and June Marcella Klavuhn.

Gary was an Air Force veteran and an electrician by trade. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and was an avid sports fan of the Washington Nationals, Washington Capitals and the Redskins.

Predeceased by his parents, Gary is survived by his wife Kathleen Margaret Boswell Hammett; daughter, Jennifer Goldsmith (Andrew); brother, Dennis Hilton Hammett, Jr. and 2 grandchildren, Aidan and Ethan. Services will be private.
