Vivian Joyce Mannello of White Plains, MD after a short illness, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She was 74 years old.

Vivian was born in New York City and later lived in Garden City, NY. After graduating from high school, Vivian began a career in the retail industry. She first worked for Lord and Taylor, then for Bonwitt Teller in NYC, where she became an Associate Buyer for better dresses. After marrying Luke Mannello in August 1962, they moved to the Washington, DC area, where she worked for Garfinkels and Jelleffs for a number of years.

Vivian was a loving caring person, who had a vivacious personality and was friendly to everyone. She had many recreational hobbies and was an avid fan of thoroughbred and harness racing. She loved all animals especially her 2 Chihuahuas and her 2 Daschunds. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

In addition to her husband of 51 years Luke Mannello, she is also survived by her loving sister, Gloria J. Galbo of New York City.

Visitation on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602.

Interment to follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
