Ann Courtright Dunnington, 85, of Solomons, MD passed away on March 6, 2014 at Calvert County Hospice in Prince Frederick, MD.

She was born on July 5, 1928 in Birmingham, AL to the late Matthew Thrash and the late Dora Peacock.

She was a graduate of George Washington University and a Personnel Specialist for the U.S. Navy at Patuxent Point NAS until her retirement. She loved her cats and was a supporter of several humane organizations. Her deepest regret was that she never had children.

In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband, Elgin A. Dunnington, in February 2001.

Ann is survived by her brother, Robert O. DeHaney of Munich Germany.

A Private Committal Service will be held at the Durham Parish Chapel, Charles County, MD, at a later date.
