Edward J. Therres, 85, of Benedict, MD passed away on March 1, 2014 at the Washington Hospital Center. He was born on October 28, 1928 in Bryantown, MD to the late Joseph N. Therres and the late Mary C. Koller Therres.

Mr. Therres retired from SMECO in 1992 as a Chief Linesman, after working for 39 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed crabbing and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by four brothers.

Edward is survived by his wife Mary Rose Therres; children, Dennis A., Beverly A. Thomas (Bob), Glenn (Kelly Hyatt), Tammy M., and Chris J. (Cathy); sisters, Margaret Welch, Helen Scott, Anna Stonestreet, and Mary Ellen Carroll. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received for Edwards' Life Celebration on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Funeral Services will begin at 7pm. Interment will be private.
