Rose Marie Ferrari, nee (Winter) of Huntingtown, MD passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. She was born on September 7, 1936 in Washington, DC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond E. Winter and Mary Olga Herbert; her siblings, Raymond William "Jake" Winter and Leonard R. Winter Sr. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to John Francis Ferrari who passed away in 2009.

She is the loving mother of Donna Lynn Smith (Dan), Dante Giancoli, Jr., (Kathy), and Tina Marie Reigel (Russell). Grandmother of Christina Haislip, Shannon and Jake Smith, Marcy and Tommy Stanley, Nicholas and Angela Giancoli, Brian Shifflett (BJ), Brittney Pitcock (Pete,) and Stephany Fulwider (Ron). Great grandmother of Brianna Shifflett, Kailey Fulwider, Addison "Addy" Pitcock, and Thomas "TJ" Stanley. She is also survived by one nephew Leonard R Winter Jr., (Stacey).

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting family dinners to commemorate special occasions and holidays. Above all, she took great pride in her children and grandchildren and all that they have accomplished.

Rose held several positions during her years at the Department of Agriculture and retired in 1996.

A memorial service will be held in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 8820 Chesapeake Avenue, North Beach, MD on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:00 am.
