Carl Joseph Rieman of White Plains, MD died on May 19, 2013 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He was 89 years old.

Mr. Rieman was a project manager with the Department of the Navy, having served along with his military career for 40 years. He was a retired Lt. Commander with the United States Navy, having served in World War II and Korea and later a retired major with the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pomfret, MD and the Knights of Columbus Council #12128. He was a past board member of Christmas in April.

Son of the late Martin Rieman and the late Margaret Zank Rieman. Also predeceased by his wife, Martha M. Rieman and one late sister, Norma Gallahan.

Survived by seven sons, Carl, Vincent, Joseph, Martin, Philip, Frank, and James Rieman; five daughters, Cathy Rickett, Joanne Benjamin, Marilyn Petrik, Margaret Jean Finocchiaro, and Martha Murphy; one sister, Joan Meyers. Also survived by 50 grandchidlren, 84 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, MD 20675. Interment at Church Cemetery.
