Bernard Lawrence Goelling, 87 of Hughesville, MD died on April 23, 2013 at Genesis of Waldorf, MD. He was born on February 13, 1926 in Mt. Ranier, MD to the late Arthur Joseph Goelling, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Spellbring Cecil Goelling.

Bernard was a farmer and enjoyed woodworking. He worked for Southern Maryland oil until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Bernard was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Helen Goelling, Marianne Jeffcott and Anne McDonald.

Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Evelyn Goelling, his sons, Bernard Goelling Jr. (Sue), Francis A. Goelling and Charles A. Goelling, daughters, Helen Marie Fassel, Carol Ann Stone, Linda E. Hamilton (Mike), Brenda L. Goelling, brother, Arthur J. Goelling, Jr., 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road.
