Mildred Mary "Millie" Garner of White Plains, MD died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. She was 79 years old.

Millie was a homemaker and a member of Divine Peace Lutheran Church in Largo, MD and the 2-N-1 Club. She worked many years on her farm and was an organizer for the National Night Out in her neighborhood. She loved to dance, gardening, and entering her flowers at the Charles County Fair.

Daughter of the late Albert Pratt Tayman and the late Edith C. Rawlings Tayman.

Predeceased by her parents; her late husband: Ralph Anthony Garner; one late son: James A. Garner; and one late son-in- law: David Kidwell.

Survived by two sons: Anthony Ralph (Siiri) Garner of Nanjemoy, MD and Glen L. (Mary Jane) Garner of La Plata, MD; two daughters: Linda L. (Ronald) Conover of Indian Head, MD and Carolyn J. Kidwell of Upper Marlboro, MD; and two sisters: Sis Edelen of Bel Alton, MD and Mamie Wallace of Upper Marlboro, MD. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation: Monday, February 4, 2013 from 2PM until time of Funeral Service at 4PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Rev. John Milstead. Interment: At a later date at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.

Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Peace Lutheran Church (1500 Brown Station Road, Largo, MD 20774).
