Isabelle was a human resources specialist for 30 plus years with the Department of Indian Affairs/United States Government and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Falls Church, VA.

She was a devoted donor to the humane society. She enjoyed her chocolates, travel, her cats, and outings with her girlfriends.

She is the daughter of the late James E. St. Arnold and the late Isabelle Julia Loonsfoot St. Arnold.

She is also predeceased by her late husband: Charles Couperthwaite; one late daughter: Barbara Owl; and a late grandchild: Aluda Couperthwaite. She is survived by two brothers: Robert (Shirley) St. Arnold of Brandywine, MD and Samuel (Audrey) St. Arnold of Oxon Hill, MD; three sisters: June Fritts of CA, Genevieve Brooks of White Plains, MD, and Julie Brown of Alabama.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 9AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy will be Fr. Robert Buchmeier. Her interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband.
