Berry, Dorothy Mae Kelton (Age 79) of (Rison) Indian Head, Maryland.

Dorothy Mae Kelton Berry was born on August 23, 1933 in Pisgah, Maryland and departed this life on December 18, 2012 at the Hospice of Charles County after a brief illness.

Dorothy, affectionately known as "Mickey" was born to the late Mamie Kelton and Archie Swann. She was educated in the public schools of Charles County. Dorothy met and married her late husband Stanley in the late 70's at which time they both joined Alexandria Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loyal and dedicated member of Alexandria Chapel for over twenty years and remained a faithful member as long as her health allowed. In addition, she was a member of the Alexandria choir for a number of years.

Dorothy was employed at the Naval Ordnance Station in Indian Head for over twenty years. After twenty plus years of dedicated employment, she decided to become a full time homemaker to her family. She enjoyed many hobbies such as cooking and baking for her family. She loved rock & roll ice-cream and she especially loved the communion wine. She loved celebrating birthdays and family cookouts because then she got to sit back and enjoy someone else's cooking.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Berry, Sr.; father and mother, Mamie Kelton and Archie Swann; four brothers, 0llie, Charles, Leroy and Harry Kelton; and one sister Katie Dyson.

She leaves to cherish her memories seven daughters, Kathryn Datcher (Randy); Dorothy Bannister (Anthony); Rosie; Brenda Bicknell (Donald); Shelia; Patricia Swann (Harry); Tracey Jordan (Linn); four sons, Francis (Shirley); Stanley Jr.; Larnie (Joyce); Oliver (Rosie); 27 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Kelton and a host of , loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Viewing, 10am until time of Service, 11am, Friday, December 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment, Alexandria United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rison, Maryland.
