Mary Jo Goddard, 64, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away on December 9, 2011 at Hospice House of St. Mary's County. She was born on July 27, 1947 in Bethesda, MD. Mary Jo was the daughter of the late Jack Kile McElfish and the late Miriam Cramer.

She was a licensed beautician, enjoyed doing hair for others, spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Mary Jo also loved to shop.

Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband, James P. Goddard, Jr.; her son: James P. Goddard, III; her daughter: Dana Calvin; her brother: Jack McElfish; her 2 sisters: Kay Waugh and Margaret "Meg" King; and her 6 grandchildren: JP, Abby Brady Goddard, Paige, Bailey, and Ryder Calvin.

The family will have a gathering (with closed casket) on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in Charlotte Hall, MD.
