Lester Roderick Hamilton (Ronnie), 79, of Bel Alton, MD passed away at Civista Medical Center in La Plata on December 1, 2011.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; John R. Hamilton and Thelma L. Hamilton, and by a brother; Shelby L. Hamilton.

Ronnie is survived by his wife; Joy A. Hamilton. Son; John Z. Hamilton (Deborah). Brother; John L. Hamilton. Sister; Mary Anne Simonds. Grandchildren; Kris and Laura Hamilton, and Great-Grandchildren; Ezra Montgomery, and Kaitlyn Hamilton.

Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and being with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. The service will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church-Piney Parish in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Kris Hamilton, David Hamilton, Donnie Hamilton, Joe Hamilton, Tom Hamilton, and Brian Hamilton.
