Robert Allen Richards, 60, of Brandywine, MD, died on November 29, 2011 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD. He was born on April 21, 1951 in Cheverly, MD.

Mr. Richards was the son of the late Frank Sylvester Richards, Sr. and the late Alice Naomi (Hall) Richards.

Robert's interests were farming, tractors, music, John Wayne & Western movies, and playing pitch-cards. He was a firm believer in family and friends.

He is preceded in death by one of his brothers, Francis Wayne Richards.

Robert is survived by his 2 brothers, Frank S. Richards, Jr. and Joseph C. Richards; his sister, Alice Diane Windsor; his 8 nieces and nephews, Tracy Murphy, Chris Windsor, Gail Hardesty, Gary Windsor, Amanda Gullickson, Holly Richards, Rebecca Churchwell, Joshua Churchwell, and a host of many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for a Life Celebration on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm (with Prayers at 7:00pm) at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. Michael's Church at Baden, 17502 Aquasco Road, Brandywine, MD 20613. Interment will follow to St. Peter's Cemetery, Waldorf, MD.

The Pallbearers are: Chris Windsor, John Gullickson, Richard Windsor, Brandan Murphy, Aaron Murphy, and Wade Windsor.

Honorary Pallbearer is: Gary Windsor.
