David Lloyd Moore, 68 of California, MD died July 23, 2011 at his residence in California, MD. Born January 20, 1943 in Greenport, NY he was the son of Reverend Fred Moore and the late Margaret Moore.

He graduated from Mattituck High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. He was on the USS Guadalcanal during the Cuban crisis. David worked for Northrup Gruman Aircraft for thirty eight years, retiring in 2005. He belonged to the REACT Radio Club and was a member of the Patuxent Presbyterian Church where he was active in Tuesday morning Bible study classes.

David is survived by his father, Rev. Fred Moore of Colorado Springs, CO, his wife, Ruth Moore, son, Kenneth Moore, daughter, Pamela Moore, granddaughter Brittany Moore, brother, Jerry Moore (Diane) of Long Beach, WA, sister, Joyce Dull (Ken) of Aurora, CO and his aunt, Pauline Garthwohl of Long Island, NY.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Moore.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Patuxent Presbyterian Church, 23421 Kingston Creek Road, California, MD 20619. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Jones officiating.
