Beatrice Lillian Commerford, 95, of La Plata, MD, died July 24, 2011, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD. Born June 27, 1916, on the Six Nations Reserve in Obsweken, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Enoch Homes and the late Julia Burning Homes.

Mrs. Commerford was an inspection technician for over 30 years with the Ferroxcube Corporation of America in Saugerties, New York. After her retirement she moved to the Charles County area and lived at La Plata Manor. For the past five years she has lived with her daughter and son-in-law in White Plains.

Predeceased by her parents; husband, Fred Commerford.

Survived by her daughter Edith and her husband Warren Ricks of White Plains, MD. Also survived by her grandson, Tod Ricks and his wife Melisa of Plum Point, MD; granddaughter, Ginger Bea and her husband Lawrence "Woody" Duckett of Moscow, Russia; three great grandchildren, Elisabeth, Leo and Lilly Bea.

Funeral service and interment will be private.
