Frank "Norman" Spigner, 87, of Solomons, MD passed away peacefully June 28, 2011 in Leonardtown, MD. Born December 24, 1923 in Charleston, SC, he was the son of Lucile Orvin Woodhouse.

Mr. Spigner was an aviation mechanic for the U.S. Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Navy. Norman was a life member of the VFW and enjoyed crossword puzzles, westerns, country music and opera.

Norman was predeceased by his mother and brother, Joel Spigner.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna Marie "Sister" Spigner and son, Robert Norman Spigner.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 11:00 - 12:00 noon at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD, 20622 followed by a service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Piscataway, MD.
