Marion Aileen Lennon Conley, 88, of Lusby, MD, formerly of Chevy Chase, MD, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 1, 2011. She was born on October 5, 1922 in Washington, DC to the late Bertram and Anna Julia Lennon.

She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice J. Conley, Jr.

Mrs. Conley was a partner in her husband's dental lab business for 35 years. She loved traveling with her children, especially girl trips with her daughters, reading, and caring for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her large family, especially on special occasions and holidays. She always looked on the bright side of life, and always had a smile or kind word for those with whom she came in contact.

Marion is survived by her children, Maurice J. (Pat) Conley, III, Kensington, MD; Marianne Hodgson, Dartmouth, MA; Christopher G. (Mary) Conley, Gaithersburg, MD; Melissa (Bob) Schottler, Arlington, VA; Leslie (Joe) Dougherty, Ellicott City, MD; Sean R. (Colleen) Conley, Silver Spring, MD; Julianne (Bob) Hajjar, Frederick, MD; Dianne (Chip) Hosford, Downingtown, PA; and Patricia (Greg) Collins, Jacksonville, NC; 38 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia Richards, Annapolis, MD.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 9th from 11AM to 12 Noon at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 50 Alexander Street., Solomons, MD, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon with Fr. Richard Gardiner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
