Mr. Lupton was a Retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Army, having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars and enlisted with the United States Marines for a brief time. Later, he became an attorney for G.A.O. with the United States Government and then practiced law here in La Plata, MD. He was active in a number of local churches, serving as a Deacon and Church Officer.

Son of the late John A. Lupton and the late Sallie Lupton.

Predeceased by his parents and his wife, Doris Jean Page Lupton.

Survived by one son, John (Kristine) Lupton of Fredericksburg, VA and grandchildren, Heather and Michael Lupton, Katelyn Fagner, and Allison Frank.

Funeral Service: Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11AM at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery Chapel - Cheltenham, MD. Clergy: Rev. Mark Roberson Interment: Maryland Veterans' Cemetery following funeral service. Honorary Pallbearers: United States Army Honor Guard.
