William "Webb" L. Gardiner, 63, of La Plata, Md. died on Monday January 3, 2011 at his home. He is the son of the late George I. Gardiner, Jr. and Eleanor E. Gardiner.

He is survived by his children Jessica L. Gardiner Crockett and Jacqueline Buckler, Patricia Forbes, & Angela Saunders. His brother George I. Gardiner, III and his wife Jean. Grandchildren Richard Lawrence Buckler, John Richard Blake, Jr., Lucas Harley Crockett, & Kayla Saunders. 7 nieces and nephews and 7 gr. nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister's Isabelle Williams , Marianne T. Lowe, and grandson Alexander Peed.

Webb worked at several services stations as a cashier in the area. He is a lifetime member of the Charles County Rescue Squad and recieved several awards for having most calls run. He loved to fish, classic cars and making models and most of all he loved his family.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 7th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, Md. 20646. Mass of christian burial will be held at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Chapel Point. Interment to follow at the St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Bryantown, Md.
