Carol Ann Bidwell, 65, of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Waldorf, MD died December 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born October 11, 1945 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Daun Larsen and the late Helen Louise Walker Wieman.

Carol was a Security Specialist with the Office of Naval Intelligence. She retired after 26 years of service. Carol liked shopping, cooking, playing the organ and collecting. A special love was the beach, especially Ocean City.

Carol is survived by sons, Robert M. Burns, Thomas A. Bidwell and Kevin M. Bidwell; brother, Richard E. Wieman; sisters, Karen A. Etzel and Paula Moose and grandchildren, Tyler J., Kyle M., Christian M., Katlyn N. and Patrick Bidwell.

The family will receive friends for Carol's Life Celebration on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00p.m. Interment will take place at Paradise Memorial Gardens, Las Vegas, Nevada at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Animal Welfare League, 26433 Loveville Road, Hollywood, MD 20636.
