Mr. Bevard was a Project Trucking Manager for 40 years with Duffield Trucking Company at Blue Plains in Washington, DC. He was raised an Air Force brat, living in many cities. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland. He enjoyed camping, hiking, rock climbing, being with his dogs, eating crabs, boating, golfing, and reading books. He was an avid NASCAR fan and Civil War history buff.

Son of living Franklin Blake Bevard and Sarah Balkcom Bevard.

Survived by his parents; his wife, Mary Abell Bevard; step-daughter, Lisa Granzen of SC; two brothers, Blake Bevard of Los Angeles, CA and Bruce (Debbie) Bevard of Oakridge, TN; two grandchildren, Kassydi and Natalie Kreis; two nephews, Blake and Alex Bevard; one niece, Elizabeth Bevard. Also survived by many other family members and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 5-8 PM with a Funeral Service at 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Clergy: Reverend Mark Roberson.

Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
