Albert Marshall "Cookie" Cook Jr. of Mechanicsville, Maryland died suddenly on Sunday, December 31, 2006 in Mechanicsville, Maryland. He was 62 years old.

Born on March 8, 1944 in Washington, DC he is the son of Patricia A. and Albert M. Cook Sr. Mr. Cook worked as an auto mechanic at J and M Auto Repair in Hyattsville, MD for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working in the garden, cutting wood, working on other people's cars and cheering on the Washington Redskins. He was one who always had to be busy doing something for someone. Mr. Cook was a past member of the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge in Mechanicsville, MD.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook is survived by his wife Susan C. Cook; daughters Heather L. Jacobs of Mechanicsville, MD and Wendy Slay of Hughesville, MD; sons Matthew Jacobs and Marshall Cook both of Mechanicsville, MD; sisters Phyllis McGown of Owings, MD and Ellen Belfield of Welcome, MD; grandchildren Tara Cook, Gregory Cook, Steven Cook, Brian Cook, Matthew Jacobs II and Samuel George Slay; aunt Marilyn Sydnor; his favorite companion who went everywhere with him, his Pomeranian Frosty.

Family to receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 5PM to 8PM with Prayers at 7PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11AM. Interment to follow at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers are Matthew Jacobs, Marshall Cook, Bill McGown, Danny McGown, Chris Curtin, Charlie Street, Robert Bowles, Jr. and Gregory Cook. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Jacobs II, Steven Cook and Brian Cook.
