In Loving Memory of James Kenneth Jackson

On Friday, January 7, 2022, James Kenneth Jackson of Nanjemoy, MD departed this life at his residence. James, affectionately known as Jimmy, was born on July 4, 1960, to the late James William Jackson and Pearl Regina Jackson in Washington, D.C. Upon their death, Jimmy was raised by his Uncle Leo and Aunt Olene Thomas.

He was educated in the Charles County Public School system and was baptized at Mt. Hope Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. Jimmy enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and hunting. And most of all, he enjoyed time with the grandkids. Jimmy's work history includes Potter Heating and Air, Indian Head Naval Base, and Charles County Parks and Recreation.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents James and Pearl, his brother Patrick, paternal grandparents Noble and Julia Jackson, maternal grandparents Pearline and
Clarence Joseph (Scooty) Dunnington, his Uncle Leo and Aunt Olene Thomas, and his son Glenn Carroll.

Cherishing Jimmy's beautiful memory is his wife of 30 years Ardell; his daughters Shemika and Tylese; his sons Paul and Jerry; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Lloyd (Stephanie); niece Penae Jackson; nephew Lloyd Jackson; 2 great nieces; 5 great nephews; one great great niece; 13 brothers-in-law; 12 sisters-in-law; Uncle Henry Van Dyke Lewis; and special cousins James Thomas (Beatrice) and Edna Proctor (Anthony). He also leaves to cherish his memory his close friends Robert Smith, Vincent Butler, Tracy Pickeral, Miles
Silbaugh, and Gerard Heard.

The family thanks all of you for your help, continued prayers, and condolences during this time of bereavement.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM.
