Clara Arbeleta Burdette, 93, of Newburg, MD passed away on January 23, 2017 at Heritage Hall in King George, VA. Born in Junction City, KS on January 28, 1923 to the late Gerome Clark and the late Katie Licklider Clark, Clara is also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, William Burdette; brothers, Roy Clark and Raymond Clark; and sister, Edith Leighton. Clara is survived by her daughters, April Walker and Merilee Bailey; son, Bill Burdette; grandchildren, Kenny Walker, Jeremy Walker, Matthew Walker, Nicole Bailey, Rachel Priest and Kaylie Burdette; and five great-grandchildren.

Clara was active in St. Paul's Moravian Church in Upper Marlboro, MD. She loved traveling, golfing, cooking, camping and eating crabs. Clara also enjoyed sewing and playing bridge in her spare time. Her retirement home in Arizona was one of her favorite places. Above all, Clara was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. Services are private.
