Janet Louise Fletcher, 57, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away September 24, 2016 at her residence. Born November 21, 1958 in Oxon Hill, MD she was the daughter of Perrow Willis and Frances Fortner Willis.

Janet worked as a logistician for the Department of the Navy at PAX River, NAS retiring in July, 2014. She enjoyed her Family, Friends, Redskins Football, religion, and Harley Davidson events. Janet was a member of the All American Harley Davidson Hughesville HOG Chapter, Ladies of Harley and riding her Harley was her passion.

Predeceased by her father, Janet is survived by her husband Melvin Fletcher, Jr.; children, Christopher Fletcher (Kelcie), step-sons, Robert Fletcher (Ashley) and Melvin Fletcher, III (Becki); mother, Frances Willis; grandchildren, Zachery Fletcher, Emily Fletcher, Abigail Fletcher, Madelyn Fletcher, Serenity Fletcher, Caleb Fletcher, Steven Mummaw, and Zachary Mummaw; siblings Judy Boswell, Keith Willis, David Willis, Joey Willis and Paul Willis.

The family will receive friends for Janet's Memorial Life Celebration on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. with a service at 7:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Family will also receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. with a service at 3:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Pastor Bill McDonald and Pastor Ken Weaver will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Willis, Paul Willis, Joey Willis, Chuck Boswell, Keith Willis, David Rickman, Ed Wilbur and Steve Keene. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
