Donald Wayne "Donny" Holt, 56, of California, MD left us Friday, July 22, 2016 to be with grand mom in heaven and is no longer hurting. Donny was born on May 26, 1960 in Cheverly, MD to George Melvin Holt and the late Shirley Mae Simmons Holt.

Donny loved being outdoors whether it was working on the Harry Nice Bridge, being on the beach or sitting on his back porch watching the boats race. He loved animals especially his cat, Sadie. He was always checking in with his kids to make sure his grandkids were doing great. His favorite day was Sunday so he could watch NASCAR and the Washington Redskins. He loved working as an iron worker and would have done that for as long as possible.

Donny is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sneed Holt; father, George Melvin Holt; daughter, Brandy Lynn Holt Stricker, of Guthrie, OK; son, Dustin Wayne Holt, of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Deanne Holt, of La Plata, MD; brothers, Darin Holt, of Mechanicsville, MD and Dennis Holt, of Prince Frederick, MD; and three grandchildren.

Family will receive friends for Donny's Life Celebration on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 90 Alexander Lane, Solomons, MD 20688. Interment is private. Arrangements handled by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
