Carterrys Donnell Orr, 43, of Bryans Road, Maryland was born May 29, 1972 in Washington, DC. The son of Gloria Simmons and Pleaz Orr, he attended schools in Southern Maryland and graduated from Lackey High School in 1991.

After high school, Carterrys attended TESST and received a certification in Electronics. He continued his education at the College of Southern Maryland where he received training for his commercial driver's license (CDL). Having his CDL allowed Carterrys to fulfill his passion for driving, traveling thousands of highway miles as a tractor trailer driver for various private corporations. He also enjoyed driving buses for the Charles County Public School system.

Carterrys grew up in the Seventh-day Adventist faith where he was actively involved in various ministries including Ushering, Pathfinders, and singing in the Youth Choir. As he grew older, he remained engaged in Pisgah's community service ministry by participating in biweekly food and clothes give-aways.

Carterrys loved watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and would often make personal calls to family to brag about their winning streak. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and keeping track of the latest fancy car models.

Carterrys is survived by his daughter, Paris Orr, parents, Gloria Simmons and Pleaz (Gloria Ann) Orr, maternal grandmother, Callie Brown, two brothers, Mario and Sanchez Orr, his girlfriend, Tina Proctor and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Viewing, 9a.m. until time of service, 11a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Pisgah Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5830 Bumpy Oak Road, Bryans Road, Maryland 20616. Arrangements provided by Thornton Funeral Home.
