On Thursday, October 29, 2015 Richard E. Dean Jr., affectionately known as "Greasy," quietly entered eternal life at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. He was born in Washington, D.C. on June 12, 1955 to Henry and the late Ruhbertha Proctor.

Richard was educated in the Charles County Public School system and graduated from Thomas Stone High in 1974. He worked various jobs before finding his passion as a truck driver with C & S (Safeway) for 19 years and retiring in 2014.

Richard enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle with his motorcycle club Cycle Busters and his new found love for his 67' Chevy Truck. He also loved family gatherings and watching his favorite television shows which consisted of Westerns, Barrett Jackson Auction and Street Outlaws.

In 2004, he met Deontae through dear friends and they recently reunited which led to marriage on January 09, 2015.

In addition to his mother he is also preceded in death by his son David Dean and Grandmother Eva Proctor.

Left to cherish many fond memories is his wife Deontae Wood-Dean. His father Henry "Bill" Proctor, son DaVaughn, stepchildren: Antonio Waugh, LaKeisha Wood, Francis and Porche' Reed, Cheryl (Rev. Daniel) Goldring, and Marlin Rainey. Grandchildren: Tieshia, Davante, ZaNaya, David Dean, Hugo Baker, Antonyo (Genesis) Plater, Minister Daniel Goldring Jr, and Shawnteice Lee. Great grandson ZaMari Plater. Brother Richard E Dean Jr. Daughter-in-law Darlene Stringer-Dean. Aunts: Mary Proctor, Vivian Walls, and Cleo Brooks (Lewis), Mary J. Proctor, Carolyn Newman (Melvin), Rosielee Savoy (Herbert), Pamela Hawkins (Hawk), Karen Proctor (William), Uncles: Nase (Grace), Joseph (Faye). In-Laws :Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood, John (Tracey) Jennifer, Barbara-Jean Dillard, Debra Johnson, Charles "Bootis" Jennifer, Denise (Joseph) Yates, Francis (Ashtoreth) Wood, Charles "Derwin" Wood, Doretha (Jonathan) Bannister, Joseph "Darrell" Wood. Special Friends: Sharon Proctor, Joe Simms, Lester and Shawn Procter, Ron "Bradley" Simms, Keith Swann, Barnard and Marketa Thompson, Milton Procter, Timmy Thompson and a host of family and friends.
