William Franklin (Bill) Norcross Sr., age 74, of La Plata, MD passed away July 23 at University of Baltimore hospital with his family by his side. He was born May 2, 1941 in Palmyra, VA to the late James Franklin Norcross and Agnes Elizabeth Norcross. He is proceeded in death by his parents; brother, James Edward Norcross & sister, Dorothy Elizabeth Norcross.

He moved to PG County MD when he was 17 to start in the trade as a bookbinder. He retired in 2001 after 43 years in this trade. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and gardening.

William was the beloved husband of 55 years to Margaret Ann Norcross; father of William Franklin(Frankie) Norcross Jr. of Waldorf, Maryland; Lori Ann Folta of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Patricia Norcross Karwacki of Lusby, MD. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

William will be remembered as a loyal friend and a loving and committed husband,father and grandfather.

A celebration of life service will be held at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD on Saturday August 1, 2015. Friends will be welcomed from 11-1 with prayers at 12:00. Arrangements provided by Huntt Funeral Home.
