Ruth Robey Moreland, age 91 of Waldorf, MD, died on April 12, 2015 at the MedStar Southern MD Hospital in Clinton, MD.

Ruth was born July 19, 1923 in White Plains, MD and was the daughter of the late Irene Roberta Willett and the late Clarence Raymond Willett and was married to the late Ernest Theodore Moreland. She is also predeceased by her son, Edward Theodore Moreland and her brother, Raymond Willett.

She is survived by her daughter, R. Diane Caldwell and her husband Roger E.; her grandchildren, Sandra Jean Caldwell Crews and husband Jesse and Roger Edward Caldwell, Jr. and wife Crystal; and her twin great-grandchildren (her all-out pride and joy), Jesse Crews, Jr. and Abigail Crews.

Both Ruth and her husband of 60 years farmed together side-by-side until health and age forced them to retire. Up until the time of her death, Ruth still lived on the farm and enjoyed watching crops grow, even if she couldn't get out there herself. She enjoyed Bingo, reading, flowers, game shows, and most of all her great-grandbabies. She enjoyed watching them play and grow. She also enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren grow into wonderful adults. She always looked upon her family with a great deal of pride. Through her lifetime, she saw many changes take place in the world, but the one thing that never changed was her total devotion to family and friends.

Friends received on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 9:30AM until time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Road, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Memorial contributions are asked to St. Jude's Hospital. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
