Jennie McFall, born Jennie Rachel Cocroft on August 30, 1929 passed away peacefully at the age of 85, on February 5, 2015 surround by family members. She was a native of Conway, Mississippi and a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta. She worked her way through college doing various jobs on campus and became a clerk-typist for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

An avid reader and English, major she had a knack for remembering details from American literature and bible passages learned in grade school until her last days. But mostly she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, laughing and keeping abreast of how everyone was doing, always putting others needs before her own. She shared her considerable academic talents with her children always encouraging them to pursue advanced education.

Jennie is preceded in death by her husband Edmund McFall. She leaves to cherish her memories four children: Jamie McFall, Linda McFall, Kathleen (Michael) Doyal, Nancy (Michael) McFall Jean; and four grandchildren: twins Luke and Micah Doyal, and twins Jenna and Justin Jean.

Viewing will be at Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. with the service immediately following at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 2294 Old Washington Road, Waldorf Maryland 20601 Internment will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 4001 Suitland Road, Suitland, MD 20746.
