Valerie Gay Cather, 48, of Colton's Point, MD died Saturday, November 22, 2014. Born on December 22, 1965 to the late Lawrence Bowen and the living Cynthia Oden.

Family was the most important aspect of Valerie's life. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved her dogs and enjoyed boating. She was always happy and full of life. She was very much loved by her family. She will be missed everyday by all who knew her.

Growing up Valerie spent a great deal of time with her grandparents whom she admired the late Norman Stanley Oden and the living Ruth Elizabeth Oden and an Uncle Stephen Oden who was her best friend.

In addition to her mother, grandmother and uncle she is survived by her husband of 4 years Andrew Leroy Cather, Sr., one son Brenton Scott Underwood, two daughters; Heather Dawn Underwood and Whitney Page Underwood, one step-son Andrew Cather, Jr, two sisters; Pamela Sue Burns and Jennifer Wise, one half-sister Christine Petras and many cousins.
