Our rural community-based transit program accomplishes an essential mobility mission of the County, connecting people, communities, workplaces, educational institutions, recreational opportunities and many other essential destinations on a regular and continuous basis. Approximately 23,000 riders ride the St. Mary’s Transit System (STS) per month. Transit also plays a key role in the viability of the local economy and in the livability of our neighborhoods. In addition, the St. Mary’s County Health Department and STS coordinate services to include the Medical Assistance Transportation program, which enables clients to use public transportation for their medical appointments. Visit the website for routes, schedules and prices.[ Last Updated: 03-Feb-2016 | Hits: 1786 | Reader Comments Report Problem
