The Calvert Crusade for Children (CCC) is a catalyst, advocacy, and networking organization. It focuses its energies on increasing volunteer and financial resources dedicated to programs for children and youth, and on building community awareness of youth issues. It supports efforts of many outstanding child and family organizations. CCC is the local organization designated by the County Commissioners to spearhead General Colin L. Powell's America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth in Calvert County. America's Promise calls for families and communities to come together to give all children the support they need to succeed - the presence of responsible, caring loving adults; safe places in which to learn and grow; a healthy start to a healthy future; marketable skills in today's highly competitive, information-based economy; and opportunities to give back to their communities.[ Last Updated: 22-Mar-2014 | Hits: 617 | Reader Comments Report Problem

(Formerly the Stephanie Roper Committee) Our mission is to insure that victims of violent crime in Maryland receive justice and that these victims are treated with dignity and compassion through comprehensive victims' rights and services. In April of 1982, Stephanie Roper was kidnapped, brutally raped, tortured, and murdered. Following their experience with the criminal justice system, Roberta and Vince Roper founded the Stephanie Roper Foundation and the Stephanie Roper Commitee to improve the criminal justice system and its treatment of crime victims and survivors. The Stephanie Roper Foundation and Committee recently combined, becoming the Maryland Crime Victim Resource Center. The Maryland Crime Victims' Resource Center is a non-profit 501(C)(3)volunteer organization that serves Maryland Crime Victims.[ Last Updated: 10-Jan-2013 | Hits: 455 | Reader Comments Report Problem
