Local Navy Contract Awards; August 04-11, 2022

WASHINGTON (August 11, 2022)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Contracts For Aug. 4, 2022

General Atomics, San Diego, California, is awarded a $9,632,005 firm-fixed-price order (N0001922F2298) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001921G0014). This order provides for the stand-up of a depot facility for prioritized depot level repairs and to address component level repair items, to include shipboard (on-equipment) repairs, and overhaul and turn in depot level repairable units (off-equipment) repairs over the lifecycle of the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed in April 2024. Fiscal 2022 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,798,418; and fiscal 2022 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $34,817 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, is awarded a $9,204,306 firm-fixed-price modification (P00005) to a previously awarded contract (N0001920C0003). This modification exercises an option to procure 36 Stand-off Land Attack Missile - Expanded Response (SLAMER) data link pod assemblies for the government of Saudi Arabia. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana (90%); and St. Louis, Missouri (10%), and is expected to be completed in December 2026. Foreign Military Sales customer funds in the amount of $9,204,306 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a not-to-exceed $524,100,000 undefinitized modification (P00015) to a previously awarded fixed-price incentive (firm target) advanced acquisition contract (N0001920C0009). This modification increases the ceiling to procure long-lead time materials, parts, components, and effort for the production of seven Lot 15 F-35A aircraft, two Lot 15 F-35B aircraft, seven Lot 16 F-35A, and two Lot 16 F-35B aircraft for the government of Italy. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (57%); El Segundo, California (14%); Warton, United Kingdom (9%); Cameri, Italy (4%); Orlando, Florida (4%); Nashua, New Hampshire (3%); Baltimore, Maryland (3%); San Diego, California (2%); Nagoya, Japan (2%); and various undisclosed locations outside the continental U.S. (2%), and is expected to be completed in June 2025. Non-U.S. Department of Defense participant funds in the amount of $524,100,000 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Contracts For Aug. 10, 2022

Serco Inc., Herndon, Virginia, is awarded a $152,322,533 cost-plus-fixed-fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. This contract provides program management support in support of the full acquisition lifecycle of the F-35 program, to include development, production, and sustainment. Work will be performed in Arlington, Virginia (93.53%); Dayton, Ohio (2.99%); Fort Worth, Texas (1%), and various locations within the continental U.S. (2.48%), and is expected to be completed in August 2027. No funds will be obligated at the time of award; funds will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued. This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposal; nine offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N0001922D0026).
