Local Navy Contract Awards; April 4-8, 2022

WASHINGTON (April 8, 2022)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Contracts For April 4, 2022

Northrop Grumman System Corp., San Diego, California, is awarded a $65,256,002 modification (P00002) to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N0001921C0054). This modification exercises options to provide continued operation, logistics and sustainment engineering support, to include training, supply chain and spares management for Global Hawk peculiar items, peculiar support equipment, and technical publications in support of ensuring the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Demonstrator (BAMS-D) aircraft are mission-capable for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Maryland (70%); undisclosed locations outside the continental U.S. (25%); and Rancho Bernardo, California (5%), and is expected to be completed in April 2023. Fiscal 2022 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $15,500,000 will be obligated at the time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Aerospace Systems, Melbourne, Florida, is awarded a fixed-price incentive (firm target) $43,026,089 modification (P00038) to a previously awarded contract (N0001918C1037). This modification exercises options to provide non-recurring engineering, logistics support, obsolescence management, cyber security software support, and technical data in support of Lot 10 E-2D Hawkeye production aircraft. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Florida (24.8%); St. Augustine, Florida (20.3%); Liverpool, New York (18.8%); El Segundo, California (12.1%); Indianapolis, Indiana (4.3%); Menlo Park, California (3.4%); Rolling Meadows, Illinois (1.8%); Aire-sur-l'Adour, France (1.7%); Edgewood, New York (1.1%); Marlboro, Massachusetts (1%); Woodland Hills, California (1%); Greenlawn, New York (1%); and various locations within the continental U.S. (8.7%), and is expected to be completed in December 2025. Fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $43,026,089 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a not-to-exceed $261,425,000 fixed-price incentive (firm target) modification (P00010) to a previously awarded contract (N0001920C0009). This modification increases scope for the procurement of long lead-time materials, parts, components, and efforts for the production of nine Lot 17 F-35C aircraft for the Navy, 13 Lot 17 F-35A aircraft and two Lot 17 F-35B aircraft for non-U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) participants. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (57%); El Segundo, California (14%); Warton, United Kingdom (9%); Cameri, Italy (4%); Orlando, Florida (4%); Nashua, New Hampshire (3%); Baltimore, Maryland (3%); San Diego, California (2%); Nagoya, Japan (2%); and various locations outside the continental U.S. (2%), and is expected to be completed in May 2026. Fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $75,425,000; and non-U.S. DOD participant funds in the amount of $186,000,000 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Contracts For April 8, 2022

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, Stratford, Connecticut, is awarded a $27,378,339 firm-fixed-price order (N0001922F2312) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001919G0029). This order procures rate tooling and non-recurring engineering in support of achieving a production quantity at full rate of up to 24 CH-53K aircraft per year. Work will be performed in Stratford, and is expected to be completed in September 2026. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $27,378,339 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
