Local Navy Contract Awards; March 14-18, 2022

WASHINGTON (March 18, 2022)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Contracts For March 14, 2022

Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas, was awarded a $58,435,814 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a five-year ordering period for research, development, engineering, and technical support. This contract does not include options. Work will be performed in San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by February 2027. Fiscal 2021 research, development, test, and evaluation (Navy) funding for $8,116 will be obligated on the first delivery order at the time of award, and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the beta.sam.gov website and two offers were received. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00178-22-D-4416). Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Indiana, is awarded an $8,606,000 firm-fixed-price order (N0001922F2249) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001919G0013). This order provides for sovereign repair capability development as well as facility standup for the V-22 AE 1107C engine to include establishment of an indigenous depot-level maintenance and repair capability for the Rolls-Royce AE 1107C engine and integration of an AE 1107C engine test cell into existing Kawasaki Heavy Industries facilities in support of the government of Japan. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana (27%); and Hyogo, Japan (73%), and is expected to be completed in June 2024. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $8,606,000 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Contracts For March 17, 2022

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a Lockheed Martin Co., Stratford, Connecticut, is awarded a not-to-exceed $52,467,855 firm-fixed-price modification (P00002) to a previously awarded contract (N0001922C0004). This modification adds scope to procure long lead items in support of full rate production, Lot 7, CH-53K aircraft for the government of Israel. Work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed in December 2022. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $52,467,855 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
