WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of November 7 through November 13, deputies responded to 1,199 calls for service throughout the community.
BURGLARY, DAMAGED PROPERTY CASE #16-63718: On November 7, at approximately 2:45pm, Deputy V. O'Donnell responded to Calvert Drive, in Lusby, for a reported burglary. The complainant explained they had been away from their home since August; and upon arriving today, found the front door to the residence was forced open and extensive damage had been done. The glass globes belonging to a large dining room light fixture had been smashed, paper napkins were tossed all over the living room and the master bedroom comforter, throw pillows and window curtains had all been sliced down the center with a knife.
BURGLARY CASE #16-63661: On November 7, Deputy C. Johnson responded to Yellow Bank Road, in Dunkirk, for the report of a burglary. The complainant, who is a real estate agent, arrived at the home to conduct a real estate 'showing' and discovered a blanket, several articles of clothing, a cell phone charger and trash bags, containing additional articles of clothing, on the floor. There were no signs of forced entry, damage or items missing. The doors had all been locked prior to leaving the residence the previous day.
BURGLARY CASE #16-63640: On November 7, Deputy W. Durner responded to Hoile Lane, in Huntingtown, for the report of a burglary. The victim advised their two (2) sheds had been entered—one had the lock (clasp) broken but nothing appeared to be missing. The second shed was left open and items appeared to have been moved around to get access to their red and black Go Cart (with a roll cage & lights), which was missing. The last time the victim saw the sheds closed was on November 5th.
CDS VIOLATION CASE #16-64602: On November 12, Deputy M. Trigg conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Little Cove Point Rd/Rye Court, in . with expired tags. He made contact with the occupants and discovered the passenger, James Delahoussaye, 32, of Port Republic, was in possession of illegal paraphernalia. He was arrested for CDS Administer Equipment Possession/Distribute (needle) and Possession of Paraphernalia (spoon).
CDS VIOLATION CASE #16-64397: On November 11, Deputy R. Evans conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of St. Leonard Rd/Woods Road, in St. Leonard, on a vehicle travelling with a brake light out. He immediately recognized the odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. He determined the front passenger, Tracie Hillard, 31, of Lusby, was in possession of 27 grams of Marijuana, a glass smoking device and rolling papers. She was transported to the Detention Center and charged with CDS Possession of 10+ grams of marijuana.
CDS VIOLATION CASE #16-63736: On November 7, Deputy M. Trigg conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Rousby Hall Rd/Frontier Trail, in Lusby, on a vehicle whose occupants were not wearing their seatbelts. Upon making contact with the occupants, he immediately detected the odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. He discovered Anthony Griffith, 20, of Lusby, was in possession of 18.2 total grams of marijuana, stored in multiple small zip lock baggies and a mason jar. He was transported to the Detention Center and charged with CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (marijuana), CDS Possession of Marijuana (10+ grams) and Possession of paraphernalia (baggies).
DAMAGED PROPERTY CASE #16-64779: On November 12, at approximately 5:00pm, Deputy B. Boerum responded to Serenity Court, in Prince Frederick, for the report of damaged property. Upon arrival the complainant advised that sometime between 11:30pm on November 12 and 5:00pm on November 13, an unknown person shot at their sliding glass door with a BB gun, breaking the outer pane of glass.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT CASE # 16-64547: On November 11, while Deputy C. Idol was working security at the Rod and Reel Restaurant, he approached two individuals who were becoming loud and disorderly while using vulgar language. He instructed them to quiet down or they would need to leave the building. Neither Tyrone Williams, 28, of Martinsburg, WV nor Marvin Hurley, 52, of Inwood, WV would cooperate but rather took an aggressive stance towards Deputy Idol. While attempting to place them under arrest, both subjects were disorderly and physically aggressive towards Deputy Idol. Once they were both detained, they were transported to the Detention Center and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting/Interfere with Arrest and Trespassing.
THEFT CASE #16-64697: On November 12, at 11:30pm, Deputy T. Holt responded to White Sands Drive, in Lusby, for the report of a theft. The victim explained she had left her purse in her vehicle while visiting Vera's Bar in White Sands. Upon leaving she realized it was missing along with credit cards, money and her social security card.
THEFT CASE #16-64455: On November 11, Deputy S. Moran was dispatched to Hickok Trail, in Lusby, for the report of a theft. He made contact with the victim who stated a UPS mail package, containing a Microsoft Xbox 1 Controller, had been stolen off the front porch of their residence.
Theft Case #16-64123: On November 9, Deputy N. Buckler responded to Simmons Ridge Road, in Prince Frederick, for the report of a theft. He made contact with the victim who advised they had placed two (2) cards in the mail, both containing money (cash), and only one card made it to its' destination. This case is being further investigated due to other complaints of mail theft possibly occurring through the Huntingtown Post Office.
Theft Case #16-63853: On November 8, Deputy Y. Bortchevsky responded to Chesapeake Avenue, in North Beach, for the report of a theft from vehicle. The victim stated that at approximately 9:00pm on November 7, they had parked their (unlocked) vehicle outside their home and discovered money missing from the console the next morning around 8:30am. No suspects at this time.
