PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Nov. 1, 2016)—The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of October 25 through October 31, deputies responded to 1,260 calls for service throughout the community.

BURGLARY CASE #16-61409: On October 26, 2016, at 1:30pm, Deputy M. Naecker responded to a call for an attempted burglary at Rhett Butler Court, in Huntingtown. The complainant explained that around 1:20pm–1:30pm, his dogs started barking so he went to investigate. He witnessed a white male attempting to pry open a window screen from a second floor window. When he shouted at the unknown male, he took off running. The investigation is still continuing.

BURGLARY CASE #16-61741: On October 28, 2016, Deputy N. Barger responded to Emmanuel Church Road, in Huntington, for the report of a burglary and damaged property. The victim explained that their unlocked shed had been entered and a John Deere tractor was damaged. A plastic knob, which controls the mower deck, was broken off and was lying on the tractor. Also, a Trail Master 150XRS had several tires cut, a valve stem was damaged and the cloth roof was cut. This vandalism occurred between 3:00pm on October 25 and 8:45am on October 28.

BURGLARY CASE #16-61977: On October 29, 2016, Deputy S. Moran was dispatched to Spruce Drive, in Lusby, for the report of a burglary. The victim explained he had been away from his home approximately two (2) weeks and upon returning, he discovered his front porch, shed, garage and cabin to his boat had all been forced open and entered. Stolen items include: two (2) crab (cooking) pots, crab net, Skil Circular Saw, Honda 5000 watt generator, Table Saw and a Ryobi String Trimmer.

CDS VIOLATION CASE #16-61487: On October 26, 2016, at approximately 11:00pm, Deputy T. Mohler was on patrol near the Holiday Inn, in Solomon's, when he received a dispatch for a possible intoxicated driver. He conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle swerving in and out of the traffic lane and operating without the required registration plate lights. The driver was ultimately issued the appropriate traffic warnings and released on the scene. The passenger, Teresa Hagy, 34, of Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of illegal drugs. She was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Narcotic (Oxycontin), CDS: Possession of a Synthetic Narcotic (Oxycontin) and Possession of Paraphernalia (cut straw).

CDS VIOLATION CASE #16-61459: On October 26, 2016, Deputy R. Evans responded to a complaint involving a suspicious person seen on Cove Point Road, in Lusby. He made contact with a female, Laura Hinchman, 28, of Lusby, after he witnessed Hinchman pass a sharp object to a male companion she was with. The sharp object was found to be a hollowed out pen containing a white powdery residue. Ms. Hinchman was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Nonnarcotic Drug (Alprazolam) and for Possession of Paraphernalia (hollowed out pen).

DAMAGED PROPERTY CASE #16-61450: On October 26, 2016, Deputy N. Buckler was dispatched to Pin Oak Court, in Prince Frederick, for the report of damaged property. The victim reported that sometime between October 12–October 17 someone dropped a pair of scissors and several screws into their HVAC unit, causing it to jam and stop working. No known suspects at this time.

DAMAGED PROPERTY CASE #16-61372: On October 26, 2016, Deputy S. Rediker was dispatched to San Angelo Drive, in Lusby, for the report of damaged property. The victim stated they were woken up by a loud bang between 4:00am–6:00am. After looking outside they discovered their mailbox had been broken and parts of it were scattered across the roadway.

DAMAGED PROPERTY CASE #16-61248: On October 25, 2016, at approximately 6:00pm, Deputy N. Barger responded to Calvert Avenue, in Chesapeake Beach, for the report of a destruction of property. The complainant explained that the windows of their camper, which is parked in their driveway, had been shot at with a BB gun. Several windows were shattered and areas around the windows were either dented or had paint chipped off. The last time the camper was seen undamaged was around 6:00pm on October 18. The damage was discovered around 10:30pm that evening.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CASE # 16-62095: On October 30, 2016, at approximately 12:30pm, Deputy J. Livingston was called to the area of the Prince Frederick WaWa for the report of a citizen pan handling (asking for money). Upon arrival he observed a white male stumbling through the parking lot, with mud covering his pants. When he approached and questioned Frederick Donahue, 56, of Chesapeake Beach, he noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. He was told to leave the property several times and to stop harassing people for money. He then approached a store employee and another citizen, loudly asking for food, causing others nearby to stop and look at Mr. Donahue. He was then taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order and Trespassing on Private Property.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CASE # 16-61865: On October 28, 2016, at approximately 9:00pm, Deputy D. Gatton responded to the Fastop, in Chesapeake Beach, for a disorderly complaint. On arrival he made contact with Frederick Donahue, 56, of Chesapeake Beach, who was sitting on the sidewalk and had a strong smell of alcohol emitting from his person. Deputy Gatton asked Donahue to leave the Fastop several times but would not cooperate. Donahue then turned towards a female employee and asked an inappropriate question. Donahue was then arrested for Failure to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order and Disorderly Conduct. As he was transported to the Detention Center, he was warned not to go back to the Chesapeake Beach Fastop or he would be charged with Trespassing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CASE # 16-61942: On October 29, 2016, around 1:00pm, Deputy P. Aurich responded to the Dunkirk Plaza Drive parking lot for the report of a female urinating in public. As Deputy P. Aurich approached the area, he witnessed a female undressed and urinating next to a car. By the time he made contact with her, she had already gotten back into her vehicle. He approached Valerie Miller, 37, of Lothian, who was reclined back in her seat and "huffing" (inhaling) a can of DustOff cleaner. He discovered an empty can on the floorboard and four (4) full cans on the front passenger seat. She was placed under arrest and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Indecent Exposure and CDS: Inhale Harmful Substance.

THEFT CASE #16-61957: On October 29, 2016, at approximately 2:30pm, Deputy Y. Bortchevsky responded to D Street, in Chesapeake Beach, for the report of a theft. The victim explained that two (2) of their unlocked vehicles, parked in their driveway, were ransacked. A prescription bottle and USB cable were both stolen.

THEFT CASE #16-61809: On October 28, 2016, Deputy T. Holt responded to White Sands Drive, in Lusby, for the report of a theft. He made contact with the complainant who stated someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a Dell Laptop. The last time the laptop was seen was around 7:30pm on October 27. He noticed the computer missing the next morning around 5:00am.

THEFT CASE #16-61823: On October 28, 2016, Deputy S. Moran was dispatched to Parran Road, in St. Leonard for the report of a theft. Upon arrival he made contact with the victim who stated upon retrieving his mail today, he discovered an envelope was opened and money (cash) was removed.
