Michael Patopie, 38, of Capitol Heights.UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (Sept. 27, 2016)—A school bus attendant is now in custody in connection with the sexual abuse of two young students in his care. The suspect is 38-year-old Michael Patopie of the 4200 block of Alton Street in Capitol Heights.
The preliminary investigation by police revealed Patopie inappropriately touched two students, ages four and five, on a school bus in November of 2015 and in May of 2016.
Patopie was arrested this morning. He is charged with second degree child abuse, sexual abuse of a minor, assault and related charges. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
