Brandywine Man Dies as Result of Injuries from Earlier Motorcycle Crash


UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (Sept. 20, 2016)—Police today advised that Phillip Brooks,59, of Croom Road in Brandywine, died of his injuries on Sunday night. Mr. Brooks was hurt in a vehicle crash on Saturday, Sept. 3, in District Heights.

On that day at about 3:30 pm, PGPD patrol officers were called to the 7200 block of Beltz Drive in District Heights for a collision involving a motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation reveals Brooks, who was on a motorcycle, was heading eastbound on Beltz Drive when he struck a truck parked alongside of the roadway. There was no driver inside of the truck.
