PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 29, 2016)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF HEROIN: On 8/25/2016 at 10:39 pm, Trooper First Class Matthews stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near MF Bowen Rd. in Prince Frederick for traffic violations. Multiple criminal indicators led to a K9 scan of the vehicle, with a positive alert. A probable cause search revealed suspected heroin. Brandon S. Richardson, 23, of Prince Frederick, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8/26/2016 at 3:07 pm, Troooper Jones responded to the Lusby Post Office for a theft complaint. The victim reported while in the post office, someone had entered her vehicle and removed money. Investigation continues.
ASSAULT: On 8/22/2016 at 6:34 pm, Corporal Newman responded to the 200 block of Lore Road in Solmons for a reported assault. Investigation revealed two adult males had been involved in an assault. The suspect allegedly struck the victim in the head with a beer bottle. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The suspect was later found at his residence and transported to the hospital for injuries he suffered from the altercation. Any witnesses to this incident are urged to contact Corporal Newman at 410-535-1400. Investigation continues.
