LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 15, 2016)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
8/14/2016 POSSESSION: Corporal Connelly was patrolling the area of Route 5 and Route 6 in his marked patrol car when his tag reader alerted to a possible wanted subject with a suspended license. A vehicle stop was performed, and the driver was confirmed to be the wanted subject, Catherine Mary Russo, age 56, of Mechanicsville. Deputy T. Payne responded to the scene and continued the investigation. Russo appeared to be under the influence, and field sobriety tests were performed, which she could not complete satisfactorily. She was placed under arrest, and a search of her vehicle revealed suspected clonazepam pills along with several other unidentifiable pills. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Possession–Not Marijuana and served the active warrant. CASE# 1-16-041849.
8/14/2016 POSSESSION: Deputy K. Molitor responded to the 22000 of Three Notch Road (Town and Place and Suites) for a check the welfare. Contact was made with a subject later identified as the suspect, Robert Lee Wedding, age 27, of Lusby, and the passenger of the motor vehicle. While making contact with the subjects, deputies observed a syringe on the floorboard. A search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed multiple pills containing suspected heroin, suspected Adderall, and paraphernalia. Wedding was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with Two Counts of CDS Possession: Not Marijuana and CDS Possession: Paraphernalia. 8/13/2016 POSSESSION: Deputy D. Potter made a stop on a vehicle traveling on North Essex Drive without the activated. A search of the motor vehicle by K9 units revealed the passenger, Anna Drue Mizak, age 27, of Lexington Park, was in possession of suspected heroin, hypodermic needles, and a spoon with suspected heroin residue. Mizak was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. A standard search of Mizak revealed another baggie of suspected heroin. Mizak was charged with Possession of CDS: Not Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Contraband. CASE#: 41624-16.

ASSAULT: Unknown suspect(s) assaulted a victim in the 37000 block of Dogwood Court in Mechanicsville. The suspect(s) fled from the location. Deputy B. Fennessey is investigating the case. CASE# 41608-16.
BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a residence and stole property in the 45000 block of Charles Way in Great Mills. Deputy J. Bush is investigating the case. CASE# 41704-16.
BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole property in the 21000 block of Olen Mattingly Road in Avenue. The case is being investigated by Corporal E. Johnson. CASE# 41700-16.
BREAKING AND ENTERING TO A MOTOR VEHICLE: Unknown suspect(s) entered a motor vehicle and stole property at the Dollar General Store in Charlotte Hall. Deputy B. Fennessey is investigating the case. CASE# 41754-16.
