LA PLATA, Md. (Aug. 10, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH: On August 7 at 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Special Place in Nanjemoy for the report of a crash. Investigation showed two men were riding four-wheelers on private property when they collided with each other. Neither man was wearing a helmet. Both men—a 43-year-old and a 25-year-old—were flown to a hospital with serious injuries. Cpl. R. Gilroy is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA: On August 7 at 1:05 a.m., Officer R. Glover initiated a traffic stop in the area of Billingsley Road and St. Charles Parkway after observing a traffic violation. Upon approaching the car, Glover smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Further investigation revealed the driver, Andrew James Dunlevy, 23, of Marbury, had a mason jar filled with 33 grams of marijuana. Dunlevy was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
ROBBERY: On August 4 at 7 p.m., officers responded to the area of Hamilton Road in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed that sometime between 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the victim was on his dirt bike and stopped in the area of Hamilton Road when three males in a gray Nissan Altima drove up. One of the occupants exited the car, approached the victim and then pushed him off the dirt bike. The suspect fled on the dirt bike and the victim went home and notified police. The suspect is described as being in his late teens, 5'9", wearing a white shirt, New Balance brand tennis shoes, and tan jogging pants. Officer D. Butler is investigating.
TEEN CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On August 3 at 10:26 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Photinia Court in Bryans Road for the report of an assault that just occurred between two teens who knew each other. Investigation showed the victim and suspect were arguing when the suspect produced a gun and threatened him. The victim was able to flee and called police. After further investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for the suspect's house where they located a BB gun, counterfeit money, and supplies to make counterfeit money. The suspect, a 16-year-old male, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault. Officer B. Keys and Det. C. Gilroy are investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL NARCOTICS: On August 2 at 2:33 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a male loitering in the area of a school on Bannister Circle. As the officer approached, he smelled marijuana. After further investigation, the officer found the suspect to be in possession of marijuana, crack/cocaine and three cell phones. Comas Renaldo Coleman, 33, of Waldorf, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute narcotics. Officer A. Bringley made the arrest.
WHEEL THEFT: Between July 31 and August 1, unknown suspect(s) stole four tires from a Dodge Dart parked in the 11400 block of Indian Hills Place in Waldorf. Pfc. M. Hancock is investigating.
THEFT: Between July 29 and July 30, unknown suspect(s) stole a section of aluminum wrap from a boat ramp in the area of Mattingly Avenue in Indian Head. Pfc D. Raby is investigating.
BURGLARY: Between July 27 and July 28, unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 11500 block of Jovita Jesse Place in Nanjemoy and stole power tools. Cpl. J. Rager is investigating.
